The Caremate Care Centre is a purpose built Emergency Response Service. Telecare Consultants answer all emergency calls and are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The Telecare Consultants are caring and professionally trained and will treat you with utmost respect and dignity and stay on the line until your situation is resolved or help arrives. If required, they can arrange Emergency Services (Ambulance, Police, Fire) to visit. When registering with the Caremate service, we ask for your medical information. Any time a call is made to the Care Centre, this information is automatically presented to the Telecare Consultant so they know exactly who you are and have this vital information that will assist them in any emergency or non-emergency situation. In addition, if an ambulance is called, they can brief the ambulance officers with this information so they can act as efficiently as possible. The Caremate Care Centre ensures the full confidentiality of all client details and records. We are aware of the sensitivity of the information collected in the course of delivery of emergency services and comply with the national privacy principles of the Privacy Act 1998 (Cth). All Telecare Consultants are required to have a senior first aid certificate which allows them to both identify and understand the urgency of various situations. All operators undertake regular performance appraisals, training and development. The Care Centre is fully compliant with the Australian Standard AS4607 for monitoring centres.
