What is the Caremate DECT Emergency Pendant?
The Caremate DECT Emergency Pendant is a 24 Hour Care Centre Product and Service combination to provide you with an extra level of independence.
By easily pressing the Assistance button on the pendant, the Caremate automatically attempts to call your nominated carers (family or friends). If for some reason there is no contact with your carers, Caremate automatically connects you to our 24 hour, 7 day Care Centre for prompt assistance. The Care Centre will automatically know who you are so they can assist you even if you cannot speak.
These smart Caremate features ensure you will receive quick assistance, even to calling an ambulance if required.
The Pendant also acts as a 2 way hands free phone that you can use to answer telephone calls and integrate into your daily life. Use the pendant to stay in touch with family and friends like a normal phone…
Who needs the Caremate Emergency Pendant?
The Caremate DECT Emergency Pendant is designed for:
- elderly people living on their own, whether fit and healthy or who have difficulty moving around;
- people after an illness or accident or those recently discharged from hospital;
- people who are permanently or temporarily disabled;
- anyone who would like more independence at home.
How Does the Caremate DECT Pendant Work?
The Caremate DECT Pendant consists of a water-resistant 2 way voice pendant (which can be worn around your neck) and fully featured cordless phone that compliments your own home telephone.
The Caremate base unit (the device that sends the alarm to your nominated carers and our Care Centre) is connected to your home phone socket and power.

- Wireless range of around 50 metres: available to store 2 of your nominated carer phone numbers along with our 24/7 Care Centre as an ultimate backup
- Small and light: hand it around your neck, it doesn’t interrupt ordinary life.
- Water resistance: Use it in the shower (but not the bath) and have peace of mind that you can be reached anywhere in and out of your house.

In addition to the Pendant, we also include a cordless phone everyday use. Along with a vivid colour screen, the Caremate DECT cordless phone may be used just like any other cordless phone, in and around your house, and compliments your use of the Pendant.
