Live Safely at Home: Personal Alarms for Independent Living
and peace of mind for their loved ones.
Keep your independence. Keep them worry-free. Whether you are a senior wanting to stay in your own home or a family member seeking reassurance, safety matters. Enjoying daily life feels better when you know help is always close.
CareMate helps maintain that independence with 4G personal safety alarms designed for Australian seniors. Our devices, including the NEVERalone pendant and SAFETYwatch, connect you to help in two flexible options:
- Professional Monitoring: 24/7 connection to a top-graded Australian response centre.
- Self Monitoring: Alerts go direct to your chosen contacts (family, friends, or neighbours).
With a simple SOS button—or automatic fall detection—seniors stay confident, knowing an instant emergency alert as well as their GPS location will be sent to the Australian 24/7 response team or direct to their chosen contacts. The responders then call the device which will answer automatically in speaker mode, allowing them to assess the situation and arrange help immediately.
It’s simple, reliable, and works wherever you are — at home, work, or out and about.
Why safety matters as we age
Why safety matters as we age
Australia’s seniors regularly need specialist measures to deal with the risks associated with living alone. As we get older, falls can become a serious concern. A fall or medical emergency can happen in seconds — but the effects can last months. Statistics show that falls are the leading cause of injury-related deaths and hospital admissions among older adults.
The right personal alarm helps avoid long hospital stays, loss of independence, and family stress.
The reality:
- 1 in 3 Australians aged 65+ will experience a fall each year
- 80% of seniors want to remain living independently at home
- Most families worry, but don’t want to “take over” their loved one’s life
The good news:
With the NEVERalone safety devices, help is instantly available, no landline or smartphone required. It works wherever there is mobile coverage in Australia.
The NEVERalone® personal emergency devices, provide the elderly who live alone instant connection to assistance if:
- They have a fall at home or out and about
- They feel unwell
- They require some assurance when feeling anxious

No. The device is completely standalone. It comes with its own built-in SIM card and phone number. You do not need a landline, a WiFi connection, or a smartphone to use it.
Yes. Both the pendant and watch are water-resistant (IP67 rated) and designed to be worn in the shower, which is where many falls occur. Note: They should not be submerged in a bath or pool.
The NEVERalone pendant lasts up to 60 hours, and the SAFETYwatch lasts up to 48 hours. We recommend charging your device daily (for example, while you watch TV or sleep) so it is always ready for a new day.
Generally, yes. Our devices comply with Australian safety standards. However, as with all electronic devices, we recommend keeping it at least 15cm away from your pacemaker (e.g. by adjusting the lanyard length) and consulting your doctor if you have specific concerns.
The device features Automatic Fall Detection. If it senses a heavy fall followed by no movement, it will automatically activate the SOS sequence, alerting your contacts or the monitoring centre and sending your location.
Don't worry. It happens to everyone! If you accidentally press the button, simply tell the operator or your contact that you are okay. We recommend testing your device once a month so you feel comfortable using it.
We strongly recommend installing a Key Safe Box at your front door. This allows you to securely store a spare key so that emergency services or trusted contacts can enter quickly without damaging your door or window.
No. We pre-program your emergency contacts and medical details for you before shipping. When it arrives, simply charge it and make a quick phone call to our team to activate it.
